The Barre Women's Club, a community service organization, was organized in 1916, and became a member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs of Massachusetts in 1921 and the General Federation of Women's Clubs International in 1952.

Meetings are on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Barre Congregational Church on the Common. Each month there is a special program/speaker/entertainment with a social following.

The Women's Club sponsors two fund raisers each year, Annual Flea Market the second Saturday in September, and a Community Calendar with listings from local organizations noted.  Our fund raisers raise monies for the two Scholarships we give each year to women graduating from high school, private or public and who reside in the town of Barre as well as donations  to other organizations within the Town of Barre.

New Members are welcome.  For further information contact Jean Read at 978 355 4897.
