"Pay As You Go" policy
began July 1, 2005. Clear, 33 gallon bags will be made available at local retail establishments in the Town of Barre. $10/10 bags. Only household trash will be accepted in these bags. Proceeds from the bag sales will be invested in maintenance costs of the transfer station.

Cost of items not noted above (or of questionable size) shall be determined by the Barre Board of Health Representative present at the site.

EMPTY FUEL TANKS, MOTOR PARTS, COMPONENTS, ENGINES OF ANY KIND CONTAINING LUBRICANTS, GAS, OR OIL CANNOT BE DISPOSED OF AT THE TRANSFER STATION DURING "BULKY DAY".

Sticker Renewals
The new transfer station stickers will be required after July 1, 2009. Cost of stickers will be $25 (all stickers expire July 1, 2010). Driver's license and vehicle registration will be required, also residents must be listed on Town Census list.  Business may also purchase stickers in the amount of $100.00. Any additional vehicles registered under the same address will cost $15 per vehicle. Please make check or money order payable to the "Town of Barre". Stickers can be purchased at the Board of Health Office located in the Henry Woods Building on the second floor.
